Day 142 – Untitled Musical Movement

Untitled Musical Movement

Untitled Musical Movement (3rd in series). This Untitled Title isn’t a joke. I can’t identify the music. It’s very familiar, sounds a bit like “Here comes Santa Claus” but not quite.

Untitiled Musical Movement

Those are two magnets on the end, very handy for the D-I-Y mindset. I went to MakerFaire today, a plethora of D-I-Yers all in one place, most inspiring. The 3-d printers in particular were intriguing. Got to see John Bieheler ‘s printers in action. Also got some custom perfume made just for moi.

 Untitled Musical Movement

Status: Identify song.

Kill-ratio: 18:2 or 9:1

Alternate Title: Untitled Movement No 142 With Key.

I almost feel a post is in order about this whole Untitled stuff – I am alternating between jokes, limericks and variations on Untitled tiles. Until the post is written, you can check out the inspiration references at the bottom of Day 137 – Pocket Calculator

Day 141 – When You Wish Upon a Star Musical Movement

When You Wish Upon a Star

‘When You Wish Upon A Star’  Musical Movement. 2nd in series.

This one winds well and plays faster than the Blue Hawaii one. It still is tinkly and slow though. I quite like this slowness.

Musical Movement When You Wish Upon A Star

When You Wish ... Musical Movement

Status:  Film movement as it plays. I’m happy to say I’ve already begun this, so this Status is not a clutter bug on the to-do list.

Kill-ratio: 28:3 or ~9: 1

Untitled Alternate: Untitled Star Etude No. 141

Day 139 – Pana-Vue 2 Slide Viewer

Pana-Vue 2

Pana-Vue 2 by View-Master (the same folks who made the View Master I assume).

This object is being kept for dealing with the slides.  To use for a quick preview to see if it’s worth scanning. 132 days later and I haven’t yet found the time to scan them.

I’ve started listening to this audio series (yesterday) which touches upon procrastination. My deadline for all this is September 30th. Hopefully the listening will facilitate the doing.

Pana-Vue 2

This image reminds me of a Dalek. I’ve been watching a lot of Dr. Who lately. Exterminate, exterminate.

Status: Modify into miniature Dalek, a friendly one. Like one who is a clutter buster.

Kill-ratio: 12: 2 or 6:1

Boy really hasty today.

Alternate Untitled Title: Untitled No. 2 Burgeoning Dalek

Day 138 – Hat Pin

Hat Pin

Vintage Hat Pin. Purchased at garage sale by Mr. OP for moi.

I am sentimentally attached to this object, but confess I have never worn it.
The American Hat Pin Society has A Brief History of Hatpins.

Hat Pin

Status: Purchase hat to match and wear.

Kill-ratio: 2 takes. About 19:1

Untitled Nonsense of the Day:

There was an Untitled young lady from Gwynne
who quite enjoyed her tonic and gin
she wore her hair up with a hatpin
and loved to sashay
around the bay
till she met Mr. Untitled who had such a grin
off came the hat and on came the sin

Day 137 – Pocket Calculator

Calculator

Pocket Calculator from Office Depot. From this century.

I use two calculators – the one on my (obsolete) macbook pro and the one on my (really old) iPhone. Yet there is more than one functioning calculator hanging around the studio gathering dust. This one is not even sweetly vintage, like the TI-55 from Day 73.

Pocket Calculator

Status: Disassemble for sea monster parts.

Kill-ratio: 18:2 or 9:1  A lazy day.

*Untitled Joke of the Day: Q: How many Untitled surrealist artists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: This is not a lightbulb. It is Untitled No. 8

*Refer to Day 117 and Day 116 for this titling thing and more “jokes”. Richard of  The Future is Papier Mache , who is on a Prince titles venture, and  John of notes to the milkman are to be thanked for this ongoing fixation. As is Ben of A Year of Living Sober, for his joke format.
