Toshiba DVD Player. Digital Cinema Progressive. Manufactured October 2007. DivX ready!
This is the player I referred to yesterday that slowly stopped working, where I was attributing the malfunction to the DVDs, not to where it properly belonged – the machine itself.
Are DVD players obsolete? I see a Toshiba model for $35 at one of those big box stores. And less than $20 for some “no-name” brands. So they are still available. Yet, it seems highly unlikely we will replace this, even though the price point has dropped. For now the computers will play my yoga dvds, and the few odds and ends we own. (Futurama leaps to mind as something I won’t get rid of quite yet).
Kill-ratio: 18:2 / 9:1
