Vintage clip on silk bow tie.
Apparently considered,in some circles, to be rather déclassé —”the cookie-cutter precision of a pre-tied model diminishes it to an assembly-line commodity (Black Tie Guide)” — as opposed to the self-tied bow which has a ‘quirkiness’ that gives it that wee dot of je ne sais quoi.
These days, I would say even with the pre-tied nature of this beauty, it’s still pretty quirky and has a lot of flair. I love the dots. Plus it’s silk, which is always classy, eh?

Oh, it has to be worn!!
Mr. OP has two self-tie ones, so this (and another one) are being sacrificed:)
Love the first shot. It reminds me of Arte Povera or Barry Flanagan’s work.
A very nice compliment Richard, thanks. Although I don’t know Barry Flanagan’s work. Off to g00gle… It’s my favourite shot too. Cheers
