Dongle Display Port Adapter to VGA for Mac. I think this is the Micro DVI to VGA Dongle. For connecting to an external display.
While it looks quite similar to the one I have that works with my newer (but obsolete at 4 years old) Macbook Pro, it’s for another macbook I had once. It’s quite frustrating that Apple deliberately makes these adapters non-portable to the next machine. Planned obsolescence, or forced obsolescence.
