Bullet.
Garage sale.
A funny kind of object to find at a garage sale, but Mr. OP did.
I didn’t plan to post these images on Remembrance day, having photographed the first batch a couple of weeks ago. But yesterday I re-shot some photographs, and then today it felt oddly apropos.
Status: A strange object. Consider what does it mean to keep it?
Kill-ratio: 48: 3 / 16:1
Alt-title: Untitled Object No. 282 For The Forgotten.
I love how you have photographed this bullet. It kind of gives it tension, deadly innocence..
Thanks Cath. The top image is actually one of my favourites so far.
I found a case of those once…
A case! What did you do with them?
I found my old G3A3 and went berserk…
No, seriously: I didn’t need them and didn’t want to keep them, so I gave them to the police.
Phew 🙂
I have one in the loose collection of miscellany known as the house archives (i.e. remnants of the past found in our 100+ year old house). Though the bullet was, I fear, of more recent vintage, discovered on our roof by the roofer. A little scary. Sometimes in our neighborhood people fire guns on 4th of July or New Year’s Eve. Hoping the intent was benign but shuddering at thought of its bursting through a window instead.
House archives. I like that.
The bullet on the roof does sound more than a little scary. Yikes. Even if the intent is benign!
