Dalton Adding, Listing and Calculating Machine. c. 1910 Truly Antique.
Purchased from a garage sale. Mainly for the keys I think. “The Dalton adding-listing machine was the first of its type to use only ten keys – first 10-key add-lister.” From Vintage Calculators . This is a heavy beast. You get a workout lifting it around. Right now it sits at the bottom of the linen closet.
Status: It has a future purpose (not jewelry) so it won’t be heaved. Estimated heave-ho date: June. Not too far away really.
p.s. I posted this from home w/ my iPhone, so no neutral background for this puppy. Reserve the right to re-shoot.
I love it – it’s like some kind of steam-punk hybrid thing. The keys are beautiful though.
Steam-punk. Love the analogy. Yes, the keys are sweet.
