Taktell Metronome, Made in Germany. From when I learned to play the piano. Although I haven’t played the piano in far too long (nor do I own one), this did work until a friend was by one day and admired it, and then he accidentally dropped it on the floor. It has a crack on the side and stopped working. The winding key is also missing.

I like it for richness of colour. The ruby red, the cream on the inside. And that it feels well made. I think the case is made of bakelite.
This brand is still being made and looks identical to this one, but it’s probably not bakelite. They cost $41.95 new. Similar vintage ones are anywhere from $7  and up. Not one to keep for the money.

[ On a side note, I’m posting this from home and thus didn’t have the backdrop I normally use. I might reshoot this tomorrow, if it doesn’t spoil the spirit of a post a day ]
