Box of 5,000 Bates Standard Staples. About 4,200 staples left. Calculations based upon number of rows and columns and guesstimating the bits and pieces that are on top.
I’ve got two other boxes of 5,000 staples. This is the oldest, not sure of its origin.
Staples are very useful little things. Quite wasteful too. Here’s a graph of their imagined use since say 2002: it probably amounts to something like 180, 160, 150, 140, 120, 85, 80, 60, 40, 30, 10. With peak use at tax time.
That’s the thing about paper, if you don’t print it out, it doesn’t need to be collated, stapled or filed.
Status: I like the bluish-green colour on the box. Seeing as I have two other boxes, keep this one and donate the rest.
